1.) Scale Insights reports do not include canceled orders.
If any orders become canceled, Seller Central and Scale Insights will remove canceled sales and orders from the reports.
If you track historical sales in Excel, the record will no longer be accurate if any orders become canceled.
To verify if there are actual discrepancies, compare reports directly from the Seller Central business dashboard instead of an Excel file.
2.) Sales data exclude the following:
- Non-Amazon sales channel (E.g., replacements or disposals triggered from multi-channel fulfillment)
- Business buyers
Non-Amazon sales channel
When a seller ships an order to a customer from a non-Amazon sales channel, such as multi-channel fulfillment, the nature of the order can be free replacements for customers or sales generated from an external platform (e.g., from Shopify).
While replacement orders should not have revenue, orders from platforms like Shopify should have revenue.
As it is difficult to differentiate between the two scenarios, the sales dashboard excludes such data to avoid ambiguity and inconsistencies.
Business Buyers
When verifying Seller Central and Scale Insights data, please exclude business buyers by applying the following filters.
- Filter the dates you want to check.
- For the sales breakdown, put "Non-business buyer."
3.) Amazon SP-API may intermittently disconnect the user's credentials from Scale Insights.
When reconnecting SP-API, the system will download past sales data based on the last updated date, up to the past 30 days.
